My first thought is there might be some truth to this, that maybe it
does make us recognize the slightest try in the horse, I believe that
clicker training helped me to be more consciously aware of it.  I also
believe that clicker training helps to get the interest of the horse,
and we really need their attention before we can do much else. I have
been able to get the attention of young, easily distractable horses,
when  lot of stuff is going on, with the clicker, they hear that sound
and everything else goes away, at least for a moment.
