>>>> Hello. I am still shaking. Somebody did a number on Scooter before I
owned him. He is still alittle terrified of the shoer.. I am very lucky to
have shoes on the front. We thought we would push it and try the
back. Big mistake. The shoer got kicked twice. Scooter was shaking like a
leaf. This was after we had put one on the rear. So he had to take it off.
Then he bolted from him and broke his leadrope snap.
Luckily he didn't get far. He came to me. He was really scared. Thank
goodness he and I and the shoer are in one piece. Lorraine

Oh, I'm sorry - for all three of you. Poor Scooter - don't you hate it when
you find some evidence that your horse has been treated badly at some point.
Nothing makes me madder. But, if there is any silver lining to this, isn't
it a good sign that he came to you when he broke loose? That encourages me
that he trusts you and looks to you to help him. You can build from that.

Have you had a chance to think yet about how you'll help him get over this?
Best of luck in whatever you decide, and please keep us informed. We'll be
rooting for you and Scooter.
