it just makes you wonder, how does small size as a young one indicate
how big they will be! We bought traveller and Stonewall from the same
person. Altho they are the same age we bought Stonewall a year later.
They had been saving Stonewall to be her husbands horse since his dam
was 17hh and her husband is 6'8". But when stonewall was a long
yearling she said they realized he was going to be short like his 14hh
sire. So they decided to let him go if we wanted to buy him.
Traveller is just barely 14hh now, but Stonewall is around 16.1.
Hahaha. Jokes on them. But he was definitely a late bloomer, for
some reason! And Jaspar, he was always so thin, it liked to drove me
crazy. Then one day when he was 5 years old he started gaining a
little. I was just perplexed by that. then someone said "maybe he
quit growing finally." I said, oh he's five, he quit growing a long
time ago. And someone said "I guarantee you jaspar has grown a hand
this year" and I said noo, measured, and he had grown a full hand
from age four to five. I dont know if its just walking horses but
sometimes they can really grow later than you expect!

i wonder why!
