Here's another good quote (Gail Ivey uses it on her posts):

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do
nothing." -- Edmund Burke 1729-1797

It takes a strong person to stand up to things that are considered the norm
but that may actually be hurting the horse.

Not just anyone can do it. Probably most people can't. "Good men" are
swimming upstream, walking in the opposite direction of the parade, fighting
the crowd. Not
only that, but "good men" take abuse from smart, highly educated, yet
ignorant people.

Not everyone, may be not even more than a few, will take the chance, to stand
up for the horse.

I am proud to say that we have more than a few on this list!!
