I became interested in the breed from reading about them over 10 years ago--I don't even remember the article but I do remember being impressed by their described personality, looks didn't come into the picture. When shopping for an Icelandic I'm not interested in 15 hh, refinement or mane/tail--I'm interested in personality first. If I were a breeder I think that still would be most important. V
