Description:

This is another skijoring video using a horse instead of a dog. Using a 
horse gives you more speed. In most horse skijoring competitions ( they are 
quite popular in Montana ) there is a rider that guides the horse and the 
skier just rides along behind the horse. However here at Bowers Farm 
(bowersfarm.com) we have taken horse skijoring to the next level. We use 
skijoring as an additional method to train horses to drive. We use use a 
long rein to drive the horse and a breast strap with extended tug lines to 
pull the skier. The skier uses one hand the drive the horse and the other 
hand is holding the tug lines which the horse pulls. The horses love it 
because it is a very light load to pull.
