can we respond to him here or email him directly? I have some
questions/comments. One, I have an antique bona allen saddle that was
restored and the person who restored it had an old photo of it being
for sale and copied everything exactly. it is a plantation saddle,
the restorer contacted someone at bona allen and was able to get in
contact with the woman who originally worked on this exact saddle, she
said she did all the tooling etc, and that it was custom made for a
tennessee park ranger and the tree made to fit his horse. it is the
only saddle I have that comes very close to fitting every single horse
I have. Unfortunately, the person who restored it is just an old
country person who restores saddles as a hobby and when he put on the
new fleece he fastened it with a little knot on each side of rawhide
and it was not a problem until I used the saddle enough to where the
sheepskin squshed down enough and I started noticing my horse Jaspar
was not happy in it any more and one day slid my hand up while we were
riding to make sure there was still spine clearance and with every
shoulder roll I could feel the hard knot pressing into my hand.

My questions are:

1. How is it that this saddle comes closer to fitting so many varied
shaped horses when many new very expensive saddles fit only one horse,
or maybe two at most.

2. How can I get this rawhide knot removed without the fluffy fleece
falling off.

3. You better watch out someone doesnt steal Liz from you.
