You've got it Lorraine.
 
I put Hunter's girth at the loosest hole or maybe second loosest, go get his 
breastplate and pull it up to the next hole, go get my helmet and gloves and 
pull it up to the next hole, go get the bridle and finish with one more hole.  
He is always ready for one more hole and he doesn't object at all.
 
He is definitely the sort of horse that would not do well with my walking up 
to him, putting my foot on his belly and hauling back.  Frankly, I've never 
owned that horse.
