>With pasos they do the bella forma on long lines with usually two, sometimes one very skilled person walking behind the colt with a buggy whip to get them to tuck the hindquarters under them.<
Or they could do like I saw at the big walking horse show in the training barn, they can have the horse led out at a nice gait and then take a bullwhip and pop it across the hocks as it walks, to make it get up under himself. with the whip across the hocks, he did not even freak out! He was so used to having it done to him on a regular basis. Any of my horses if you struck them with a whip, well, they would be in the next county, but not these horses! They were so well trained and desensitized to it that they just accepted it dutifully and got up under themselves!!! Maybe if that doesnt work you could cut a golf ball in half and fix it to each frog and then put a pad on top of that and then nail on the shoe, a real heavy thick one. That will get them up under themselves and get them moving with a real nice high step. But I would rather you just went ahead and shot the horse in the head, it would be a nicer thing to do.Janice -- yipie tie yie yo
