>From Rachel: I know that is the current U.S. medical recommendation, but I've just been reading that countries where people eat no dairy products and get very calcium, or protein for that matter, don't have bone density problems. But, strangely, these studies show that when people from these healthy populations, such as Chinese and Japanese, move here and adopt our foods/lifestyles, they soon began having our degenerative problems.
