I was just thinking of how my first tendency is to avoid trouble.
Sometimes it works for a while, better to pick my battles.

Interesting... my husband left the paddock gate open yesterday
morning. curly ray was out all day just wandering the yard. He
coulda got in all manner of trouble! But all he did, now get this,
this is psychologically interesting... He is never a bad boy for
humans, only to the other horses--- but last weekend i was on the
porch and he came over and started snacking on my qumquat tree I just
bought last fall and paid 30 bucks for and have been babying it ever
since. So I hollered and he ignored me so I got up and gave him a
little smack on the head and said go on and he did, swishing his tail.
So yesterday he was out all day and guess what is the ONLY thing he
demolished. My qumquat tree. yep. He actually pulled it up out of
the ground by the roots and dropped it right there like "here's your
qumquat bush lady". I couldnt believe it. And poor Gallant Boy, he
just stood in the paddock all day looking like a whipped dog like
"curly ray is baaadddddddd and gonna get in trouble-- .janice
yipie tie yie yo
