Elisabeth is now retired from raising horses and is an award winning photographer. Elisabeth's Viking Saga Ranch horses were all named Saga's California (name). When the USIHC joined world fenger(?) all names were changed from Saga's California, or S.C., to (name of horse) from Saga California. I still have four S.C. mares, Penny, Raudhetta, Dokka and Fagra Starna. They have produced some wonderful babies for me. And right now I have three awesome stallions, two by Keilir, and one Keilir grandson. One of the stallions is a Keilir look-a-like, and has Keilir's beautiful temperament. This particular stallion is often safely ridden by my eight year old granddaughter. Although his gaits stink, we are working on them. I seriously thought about gelding this horse, but Liz Graves said no. She seldom sees this beautiful temperament in a stallion, and said you can train tolt, not temperament, so we will see what kind of babies he produces next year. I was also told by Eloise Blau, Coyne, Tucker??? that it should be fairly easy to develop a great tolt, so cross your fingers for us. Anyway, I hope this clears up the S.C. ... and ... from Saga California name. They are the same horses. Janet Caliente, California
