my foxtrotter is 19 years old... she is a dream. she couldn't hold her head
down unless survival depended on it (I've seen her act like a mad bull )...
We ran cows together when we were younger. She is a ranch horse, she is
fearless and smart and as long as I know she cool,  I'm fine. Her head is
up, my reins are firm but not tight and not floppy loose. She doesn't hold
her head this high but almost and since I'm not in the show circuit out side
of fun days once in awhile and some jumping events NOT on her (jumping is
not her thing! but we do some hunter paces now and then and just don't do
the jumps!). If she's happy I'm happy..
