In any breeding, you take your chances.  Yes, you have
a better chance of getting what you want when you
breed pure-breds, but cross-breeds might surprise you.
 My 1/2 Arab, 1/2 TWH is such a cross.  But I will
admit that I am VERY LUCKY to have a horse that gaits
naturally AND has a "to die for smooth trot".  When
you take a big chance you can either have a big payoff
or a big dissappointment.  It's a crap shoot either
way.
