>>examining Raven's photos for ideas. I understand how to put up the
high line, but what do you use to connect the horse to the high line?

Hi Kristen...if you go to
http://www.american-flex.com/coverletter.htm and click on Hardware &
Rigging. You will see all the equipment needed to picket line/high
line a horse while camping.

For each horse you will need the following:

The Horse Positioner with Ring (3) -One for the horse and two for a hay bag.

Picket Lead / Cross Tie (1) order one with rigger snap on one end and
Quick-release panic snap on the other end

Kangaroo Feed Bag (1) http://www.american-flex.com/bags.htm

I would also strongly recommend that you consider getting one (1)
Picket Line Tightener.

And if you have a hard time tying knots, you can use Sure Knot Rope
Cleat (2) instead.

If you are going to use a tree, you should get a The Tree Hugger set.

This is what you will need to set up a picket line/high line.

There are many helpful "how-to videos" on Cathy's site. Please take
the time to view them so you can see how it all comes together. You
can find the videos at the bottom of the index page.

I also had tie hooks installed on top of my trailer..along the roof
rail. This way I use my trailer as one end of the line and can use a
tree/post or another trailer for the other end.

If you decide you order anything from Cathy......please mention my
name as I am one of her sale's rep.

my camping tips.
