And to add even more odd information.  A horse can be registered as a 
breeding stock paint.  He qualifies for the registry by his genetics, but not 
by his 
color.
 
My grandson rode a wonderful breeding stock paint gelding, for all intents 
and purposes a plain bay QH, in 4-H and did very well.  When Gabe decided he 
wanted to do endurance, Dakota went on to a girl who uses him on the high 
school 
equestrian team.  That was a very nice horse - but plain-colored.
