I received my first pair of cotton reins from ebay today. They look just like this pair: http://tinyurl.com/26vf9l but I bought mine from another seller.
These are so long that I bonded (with a soldering iron) then stitched a scissor snap onto the "popper" end of the split reins, and made two pair of roping reins out of one pair of split reins. These are yellow - bright butter yellow with a slight gold tint, no green tint (like lemon) at all. If anyone has the yellow Zilco halter bridle (I do) these are exactly the matching shade...but boy, that's a lot of yellow! (And now I have TWO pairs!) I'll have to submit pictures to "Ask Janice" relating this shade of yellow to Runa, Svertla, Brunka and Maja. I'm thinking that Lucy-Runa needs the royal blue, and I need to save the yellow for one of the black or dark bays. Karen Thomas [EMAIL PROTECTED]
