I can get anyone some cholla spurs for free. Scooter bolted BIG TIME with me the other day and I thought I was a gonner. When I finally got him stopped after 8 long seconds of riding, I found a cholla stuck to the heal of my boot. To you non desert riders, that is the nastiest cactus in the world. It sticks to you like glue and is very sharp. We carry picks and combs in case they get on the horses legs. I don't blame him for taking off. Ouch. But I am kind of proud and happy for staying on. It was like a viscous circle. The more I tried to stop him the more I probably gouged him. Lorraine
