thanks judy, this was very helpful to me with a thing I am trying to work thru. because she is situated in Ocala, I have had the opportunity to see Lynn Palm many many times and she is sorta low key and not very dynamic or show bizzy but I have learned many many good things from her thru the years. One thing I learned is she has you sit in the saddle and put one finger under your seat and move just your head slightly and shows how doing that is something the horse can feel thru your seat. also I learned to stop staring at the ground which had become a habit! She showed how looking down pitches you slightly forward without you even knowing it. I saw her do a demo once with Rugged lark, a very famous QH stud around here, he's dead now, but later I was walking by as she opened the stall to feed him, forgot something and walked away and when she did he sorta lunged forward like he was going to run out of the stall and I went yikes and rushed to stop him and she turned around and laughed and said "he's not going anywhere," and he didn't, just stood in the stall doorway waiting for her to return. She does a nice bridle-less riding demo. janice-- yipie tie yie yo
