so its like I COULD be a basketball player but I probably won't ever
make it into the NBA....

But at gats level. I don't know exactly what that show level is but
its obviously not Gran Prix or MacClay. Do they do lower jumps? Or
are the heights the same for kids as well as the Gran Prix.... Would
seem to me all horses could jump one ft and be competitive with all
horses. SSHBEA horse jumps are 3 ft. and they jump them and clear
them, but watching the competition you see they don't gait, they
canter around just like a "normal" horse. And they don't do any
double jumps, jumps downhill into watercourses etc. and face it, on
the trail a gaited horse doesnt NEED to jump like a trotting horse.
My Jaspar can go right over a two ft log without breaking gait one
beat. But I noticed this weekend Teev did a little stumble on a real
tall log. Mainly he had to do a little hippy hop over with his back
legs. But my friends paso fino did a beautiful jump over it with
front feet tucked. Probably cause she realized she would have to
break gait to get over it. It could have been more like 2.5 feet.
pretty tall. anyway
