Twist sounds like my Jaspar, a horse everyone assured me was absolutely worthless. Just frets and worries and is lazy and hates to go anywhere but always will. After about the first ten times he saved my life people started saying wow, and after he saved other peoples lives several times others started appreciating him like I do. Some horses get sour on humans and hate to be told what to do, but if you can figure out how to ask them and make them feel really appreciated they will give you their whole heart, soul, lives for you, and then just go quetly, unassumingly back to munching hay.
Like people, some horses are introverts and some extroverts I think! And I know some are fretters, worryers, usually herd leader types! They have to take care of everyone you know... janice -- yipie tie yie yo
