there was a mini series on the Country Music Tv chgannel where they had a reality show competition to crown the worlds greatest cowboy. it was very interesting. For one thing it just showed how little many people who spend their entire lives with horses know anything at all about them! I am just amazed.
I'm not. There are plenty of us peons who know and practice far more w/ our horses than any of these "professionals." I for one don't like rodeo. I think most of it is cruel and inhumane, esp. to the calves, but also w/ all the crap tied onto the horses' heads to keep the head up, down or whatever. What's really sad is how the general public finds rodeo so exciting and wonderful. Remember when that bonehead Ty Murray got busted for going into the wilderness, roping an elk, and riding it bareback? I'm sure most everyone in rodeo thought it was extremely cool. World's greatest cowboy my a$$. Robyn
