pictures, you can see the saddle on one of my smaller Icelandic's. It's
marginally ok on him - maybe - but it certainly looks overwhelming on him.

This is a beautifully upgraded, virtually new BMSS endurance model with the
optional (higher) 4" cantle with a Cheyenne roll. (The standard cantle is
just 3".) It also has some extra d-rings and pretty conchos. The billet
ring is wider than the standard one they use now - the standard ones are too
small to wrap the tie strap more than once. I have upgraded the original
nylon billets to leather, and added tan flank billets so I can use a mohair
packer cinch. I can include the packer cinch if you'd like. The black suede
Sit-Tight cover the picture is included. I It is a youth cut saddle, which
makes it possible to use more standard size girths - normal rigging means
you need a shorter girth than other western saddles. The black youth cut
Skito pad goes with it, and I got it new with the saddle. It is a beautiful
saddle. This is my ideal BMSS - I've had several, but finally custom ordered
this one exactly as I wanted one. The problem? I ride and breed Icelandic's,
a breed known for being very wide, but short and having very short-backs. My
three favorite riding horses are on the smallish side even for Icelandic's
(13.0-13.1H each), and it seems that this 15.5" seat has just enough longer
base than the 14.5" I had before that it is too long for these three. It
does work well for some of the larger Icelandic's, but the 15.5" seat is way
too small for my husband. So, unless I lose that last 20 pounds I gained,
I'm not going to be able to use any BMSS on my three favorite horses - darn
it!

The higher cantle makes it easier to attach cantle bags. With that, and the
suede seat cover, this saddle is very secure for a rider that likes to
"stick" to the saddle. Of course, the suede seat cover is removable.

The saddle alone was about $1250 new, and it's only been used maybe dozen
times - probably not that many. The Sit-Tight cover is a $75 extra, and I
think the Skito was about $150. I paid about $100 or so to upgrade the nylon
cinch rigging to leather and to add the flank billets. The mohair packer
cinch was about $80. Altogether, I have about $1600 or more in this
saddle/pad/cinch setup. If I can still find the original nylon cinch rigging
and the original girth, I will include them too - I'm pretty sure I can find
them. I'm asking $1150 for everything, plus $50 for shipping within the
continental USA. I'll take PayPal.

The 13H silver dapple Icelandic pony in the pictures is NOT included. (The
6'2" husband is negotiable. Make offer on husband separately... :) )
