oh hey, don't worry about it. Even the weather people on tv here, the
forestry service people etc are openly saying the only way we are
gonna bail out of this drought without the whole state burning to a
crisp is if we can get about three tropical storms in a row. If you
think about it, how many times in history has that saved things... A
devastating hurricane is one thing, nobody needs that, but the last
really healthy rain we had was from Katrina passing by offshore our
area to annihilate NO and Miss. The last two rains we had did not
even permeate the loose sand into the ground. you could kick the wet
ground and dry dust would puff out! and this smoke is so depressing!
300 miles away and we cant even breathe or see the sky... I go to the
weather underground blog site, a lot of professional weather people
have blogs there, and they say the high parked over the southeast is
particularly locked in. and if it doesnt go away soon its gonna be
just awful for us and think of the critters! almost 600,000 acres of
okefenokee swamp burned, where do the critters live now? On I-10?
The creek near me is the source of our county's water supply, it is
normally 20 feet deep after a hard rain, now it is two feet deep. and
if it dries up... oh my gosh thousand of acres of critters will have
no water to drink! and my well could go dry.
