My husband just called. He said gallant Boy is very weak and unsteady
on his feet but staying up and eating sporadically and has downed
about 1/4 of his feed and that his swollen glands are down, and when
he saw my husband coming with the penicillen needle he started walking
to get away from him so he must be feeling better :0 Maybe he will be
with us a little longer. I guess you would think, well, he's old as
sin and gonna croak soon anyway, why is she so worried, but I guess we
have grown attached and there is something that feels real good about
easing the misery of a horse in his late years after he's had a crummy
life...
