Just sharing this info with you. We are hosting a clinic with the wonderful Dale Rudin at my barn in Franklin, TN later this month (June 30- July 1). It is called "Building a Trusting Relationship" and it is designed to help riders of all disciplines strengthen their relationships with their horses and learn more about horse behavior, both riding and on the ground. If you read Horse Illustrated or Young Rider you will recognize Dale's name-- she has Western training columns in each. The clinic is $275 for horse/rider pairs (limited to 8) and $35 for auditors.
She helped me with my horse earlier this spring with leading and trailer loading and I really got a lot out of her teaching, so I encouraged her to do a clinic at the barn where I board. Her approach is very holistic and she pays a lot of attention to each horse's physical and emotional health.
