I really love that sort of innocent honesty. Friends of ours adopted a beautiful boy, Hispanic, truly a gorgeous kid. He has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and is just a handful and socially inappropriate. He was walking behind me and asked what those "things" (varicose veins) on my legs were. His mom was so embarrassed. I thought it was funny. And I'll remember not to wear the cropped pants away from home any time soon.
