i just sent my demo back a little bit ago, after a long and well-used
(by me and lots of my students) trial.

i agree with you about all the "pros", except that i needed to do more
to keep the fleece skito pad clean -- it got slippy after awhile.

i used my own stirrups, so no complaints there. and i loved the
stretchy girth; easier to tighten evenly than any of my others.

not sure what to tell you about pelvis hip sockets, as i think mine are
on the flexible side (my pony is shaped like a potato anyway), and none
of my students mentioned any discomfort. did this vary at different
gaits (like was half-seat or posting trot easier?) but anyway, if a
saddle hurts you (or your horse) it is clearly not the right one!

stjarni's gaits didn't change at all, but his tail was swishier -- not
in a purposeful-looking way, but it did seem that his movement was going
a bit further throughout his body.

i went ahead and ordered one for regular use -- i thought it was better
for several of my students in interesting ways, and i found it fit me
better than my hrimnir (which i just wish came in more than one seat
size) once i had it all adjusted to my liking (cantle bolster,
free-swing stirrups set just so, &c). i'm keeping the hrimnir though,
both for other students and for myself to check in with regularly. (i
really should sell the thorowgood thelwell, as i have no students quite
that tiny anymore and don't expect to again....)

indeed -- good luck finding one that works for you and yours!
