There's a group out of Denver, kids, called the Westernaires. I call them the Worsternaires. They perform, do the rodeo circuit, w/ some truly maniacal riding--full-out gallop, weaving in and out, doing figure 8's, going over jumps, trick riding, etc etc., sometimes w/ all the lights out except for carried torches and/or teeny little lights on their tack. Not a single helmet, ever. Several kids have been killed over the years, surprisingly not more than that. No way would I ever let my kid ride like that, esp. w/ no helmet. Robyn
