hmm, i think i will try it a TINY bit -- would it be safe to say get a rasp (i've seen them at the agway) and say smooth the edge of a nick in the back hoof? stjarni does get those sometimes, & a friend of mine does do that for her own horses, so i could probably get her to show me how.
