hmm, i think i will try it a TINY bit -- would it be safe to say get a
rasp (i've seen them at the agway) and say smooth the edge of a nick in
the back hoof?  stjarni does get those sometimes, & a friend of mine
does do that for her own horses, so i could probably get her to show me
how.  (s does stand like a rock for the farrier, and for me under
ordinary circumstances, but i don't know how he'll stand if i'm messing
with his feet and screw up :/ )
