>>> Ok as we here discuss lot´s of gaits at the moment Great pictures Malin - cute babies AND good, clear gait shots.
>>>> I would like to know what gaits is Kria showing the black pinto she is just 1 monht old on theese pics taking in a row after each other. Foxtrot isn't it? Good catch with these pictures. It's so much easier to see the gait if we can see more than one picture and if the pictures are taken squarely from the side. That's often hard to manage with active babies. >>> and also Þröm the black (marefoal ,maybe roan will see) two two weeks old. Maybe something in the step-pace to saddle-rack (tolt) range? >>>is this a signature gait of the Icelandic horse? It works for me! Seriously, I know we can't depend on the gaits they show that young being the gaits they will show when they are mature, but it's fun to watch the foals' gaits as they mature. I'm not sure of the significance of these gaits in the babies, but I'd hope it to be a good sign of future gaitedness. Time will tell. They are both very cute and these pictures are great examples of good shots for looking at gaits. Now, what would be your guess - just from this early phase - as to what you might expect these babies to have re: gaits when they grow up? Karen Thomas [EMAIL PROTECTED]
