As did one of my cats. He was lethargic and very off, very suddenly one pm when I went to check on the cats. I checked his temp--the thermometer got to 105 and wasn't finished when I grabbed him, stuffed him in the car and off to the emergency vet clinic for us. He was better the next day but went to the regular vet for the day, still on IVs. His diagnosis was "FUO"--"fever of unknown origin"--and the vets never did figure out what it was. But he's been fine since. I wish they could talk too--it sure would make things easier. Robyn S
