I would hope so.  Niels West, the man who raised our two, was very concerned
with temperment in his horses and I think he was mainly successful.  We did
see some whose conformation might be considered a little "iffy", but I'm not
sure we saw any that didn't walk right up to us for a visit and a sniff.

I think the fact that he was still riding his herd sire (only recently
gelded) when he suffered a stroke in his 90's is a testimony to the success
of his efforts. That reads a little off - I don't mean that he was on the
horse when he became ill.  He has recovered enough to talk on the telephone
and enjoy the pictures we send from time to time.
