I would hope so. Niels West, the man who raised our two, was very concerned with temperment in his horses and I think he was mainly successful. We did see some whose conformation might be considered a little "iffy", but I'm not sure we saw any that didn't walk right up to us for a visit and a sniff.
I think the fact that he was still riding his herd sire (only recently gelded) when he suffered a stroke in his 90's is a testimony to the success of his efforts. That reads a little off - I don't mean that he was on the horse when he became ill. He has recovered enough to talk on the telephone and enjoy the pictures we send from time to time. Nancy
