before air conditioning southern women took a nap every day in the heat of the afternoon. they would get undressed and turn on the attic fan and drink half a bottle of Lydia pinkhams which was like 90 proof i think...also had some mellow menopausal herbs in it. then they would get up and get dressed and screech at all the children while sweating over a hot stove :) ahh those were the days :) I remember one time i spilled a glass of water in the livingroom floor, it was linoleum and I was so hot I laid down in it and wallered around, making like angel wings and my mom just sat there on the couch and said "is it nice and cool?" and smiled :) I miss my momma :) Janice -- yipie tie yie yo
