This is an incredible amount.  Does anyone insure their horses or 
recommend an insurance company they like?  The few companies I have 
talked to won't insure a horse older than 15 years (except for 
mortality).  Average cost seems to be in $400-$500/year range for a 
value of $5000-$10,000.
