Yes, a harness maker would be able to fix it for you. There was a couple that came to a drive meeting at our driving club and both their horses had over checks. They were told to take them off. My understanding is that when your horse goes into draft or begins pulling, an over check stops them from using their neck, back and hind legs correctly and can tend to hollow them out. That's what I've been told, but I'm very very new to driving. Wanda
