*nod* the police, however, were shooing us to catch up with the other
group of horses.  i believe in doing what people with guns suggest, and
stjarni can tolt faster than he can trot.  (i did not want to canter on
wet pavement; i didn't really want to do anything but walk on wet
pavement, but see above about the guns.)
