if it was me I'd look for a good sheet that specifically states it's UV protection rate and "maybe" use zinc oxide all over the shaved area but since Huginn is compromised to some extent I'd ask the vets about the zinc oxide. I use it on my healthy horse's nose all the time but Huginn's is a large area and I have no idea what it might do to an ill horse.
