>>> I tried playing a little with putting Melnir's bit lower in his mouth
than I normally do. What does this look like to everyone? Too low? About
right?

>> How did he like it?

He was fidgety with it for about 20 seconds...then he settled as well as
ever, no problems. I checked his teeth, and it seems to be sitting clear of
them, so I think it was ok. In fact, it MIGHT have been a little better for
him. I was a little surprised that it could sit so low with no problems. I
haven't ridden him since.

>> Melnir is so sweet--the expression in his eye.....

Thanks - obviously I think so. I thought he was pretty darned sweet even
when he was a stallion, but now that his perpetual "ulterior motive" is
gone, he really is. But, even though I think Melnir is pretty, I have to
admit that his head can look pretty ugly if the camera angle isn't right -
he's definitely got an Icelandic head. I saw you mention the other day that
you think sometimes that Orri has a moose-head. I think Orri is just
drop-dead gorgeous. I've never seen Orri's "moose-head" angle - I'm not
sure he has one!
