You aren't kidding! I KNOW from riding Falki that he's not at all lateral, but when Cary took the first few pics of me riding him at gait, I would have sworn he was step-pacing from the pics, but I knew it didn't feel like it. I finally put a single wrap of vet wrap around each leg, contrasting colors, to be sure. I was right, it WAS foxtrot, not step-pace! Moral of the story - I trust the feel from the saddle more than my feeble eyes, especially on a dark horse!
