Two words: Zinc oxide!  The cheapest way to buy it is to get the generic
version of Desitin diaper rash cream from somewhere like Sam's Club.  I put
a dollop in my palm and add a drop of baby oil to make it more spreadable.
Gracie has a wide white blaze, and the Zinc oxide REALLY helps.  The other
thing that helps is the extended length fly mask - but you can see the "tan
mark" where it ends.  (Actually it would be great if she would tan instead
of just burn.)

Yep, in the summer, I can see why the QH people don't like too much white on
the horses.  That had to be a major drawback when they were mostly working
cow horses on the un-shaded plains...
