Well I have never posted to this group before but have been reading for about six months and always enjoy the "what gait?" posts. So although I have never actually seen an icelandic in person and the only experience I have with gaits is from this list -I am going to try to describe what I see.
The first clip is lateral but seems to have an almost diagonal component. Perhaps this is uneven set down and pick up? I don't know what the gait is called. The 2nd clip seems more lateral with a more even pick up and set down (I don't know if I am using these terms correctly) which would make it pace? The 3rd clip seems very similar to the first. and the 4th is lateral with not quite even pick up and set down - maybe a stepping pace? I am not entirely sure what defines a stepping pace. Is this even in the ball park? Icyless in MT... Sarah
