Tosca is only four and has not been driven. I have an oak meadowbrook cart that I think I need to sell to buy a cart more Tosca's size. Are you planning to drive your Icey? Have you seen this organization? http://www.usdfd.org/
Driving for the Disabled has carting events for folks who use wheelchairs (and those who don't but have other disabling conditions). They have adapted carts for wheelchair use and have some good techniques for helping people learn to drive. I'm surprised how accepting the ponies are. I had this bright idea that I could put a vaulting surcingle on Tosca and then have Steph stand beside her holding onto one of the handles on the surcingle and brushing with the other. That turned out not to be one of my better plans. Stephanie lost her balance, dropped the brush and ended up hanging fron her horse from her one good hand. Tosca's eyes got a little round, but she never moved. We'll be excited to know how your training is going. Nancy
