That's a good point to remember - horses can only move freely (note the word "freely") in a saddle that fits. Depending on the horse, some horses will gait more poorly in an inappropriate saddle, while some horses will gait "better" in an uncomfortable saddle - but I don't want my horses to gait only because they are uncomfortable.
