I have two saddles form Hnakkvirki, a Hrafn and a Eldjarn.
I have had them both for several years.
They are not the wides saddles on the market but I think they fit well
on normal to slim build horses, for wider horses I use my wintec extra
wide or an old gürtz tölt saddle we had made wider.

I have alot of horses that are passing through so I need to have
saddles that fit most horses as I can not get a new saddle for each
horse. Then would I need 40 at the moment ;O)

My first saddle was the Eldjarn. I liked it becuse it provides a "safe"
seat with good kneesupport and a deeep seat. I is also short and fits
horses with short backs. I use it mostly theses days when I ride the
young and wild ones. My behind is not so small to fit so well in in
anymore... Sigh...

The Hrafn i bought as a long distance saddle for my hubby... but of
course I need to use all the time! He
It is longer and wider then the eldjarn and has a more relaxed seat for
the rider. It is a very popular saddle here for companies like
Eldhestar and Ishestar.

The leather quality is good and they last and last....

Have anyone any experience of Ansur saddles?

Best regards from Kristin
