Does your saddle have black piping? I remember someone's does, but maybe it wasn't you. If so, split the difference and use a black bridle over brown rope halter, or maybe a black bridle with a brown browband. That way if the color isn't exactly right, it won't be so blatant. And of course, the perfect solution would be to have Dana make one to match the saddle. Her harmony bridles are pretty neat - can be a halter, bridle and/or a sidepull. Did you see the black one on Melnir with the blue accents? There's a woman on ebay (Colleen) who makes biothane tack. She makes a neat add-on bridle and will make them in colors, very reasonably. I got Melnir as black one with a brown overlay on the browband. However, the brown biothane is sort of like "Havana" brown tack, and has a reddish/cordovan tone to it.
