yes, my friend who just lost two horses to snake bite was told by the
vet that they had probably not died from the venom but from
suffocation. Horses are often bit in the face and then it swells and
cuts off all air. They said one of the horse's head was the size of a
fifty gallon drum. The vet put a glass or plastic cylinder up ones
nose but it was too late.
