i've recently acquired a dressage sensation. i like it quite a lot. it fits stjarni well, and with proper adjustments (they're custom-made and even more customizable) it fits me and a majority of my students. some of my students still prefer my treed saddle (a quilted-seat hrimnir) which i think fits stjarni about the same (i bought it new and broke it in just on him). the seat, alas, is a bit too big for me to get the best position in it, though i do find it very comfortable; i personally think i ride better in the sensation b/c i can get my feet under my hips properly aligned.
which is to say, i don't think there's any way to know without trying! the dealers (mine was kaaren jordan, whom i very much recommend) are helpful and knowledgeable and can make all the difference in figuring out fit and position (be prepared with a digicam to send photos!). if you can get a trial arranged that is probably the best; that said, even if you can't, i'm sure people would be happy to help you. and if ebay is any sign, they keep their resale value very well if you end up unsatisfied. good luck, --vicka
