We went to Bandit Springs and rod a nice 30 miles of limited distance on Saturday, arriving back home Sunday afternoon. Out 15 year old son, Arontae, was looking "off" Monday morning, so I rushed him to the ER and he and I got a fast ride in a small plane up to Oregon Health Sciences University where he had a shunt revision. His VA shunt had failed, a life-threatening event. He is having a nice recovery and he's back home, but I may never leave him again. I am having trouble getting past the horrible possibility that his shunt had clogged while we were gone and his care-givers wouldn't have recognized the seriousness of the event. He's fine. I think I'm traumatized. Nancy
