That's always happening around here.  But, not so much because the horse knows 
who we are planning to ride, but that often we will simply select the "first 
available."   I always take it as a sign that the one who is volunteering is 
the one who's really in a mood to get out and do something, so why not make it 
easy on all of us?   The funny thing is that all of the horses get ridden too.  
I think horses are often like humans - anything they do too much or too often 
gets boring to them.  All of my horses seem to like to go on the trail, but 
when I ride one horse out every day for many days in a row, I'll see that horse 
get an "oh no, not that again" look.  But, with a few days off, or by 
interspersing ring riding with trail riding, they seem to keep their interest.
